I began tutoring while I was attending college, because I loved to learn, and I felt that teaching a subject helped me learn it. However, I quickly realized that I enjoyed watching the students I tutored succeed even more, and I soon developed a true passion for teaching. I am a recent college graduate, and I earned bachelor's degrees in both Chemistry and Biology at the University of Redlands. There, I tutored students for three years in Molecular Genetics, Organic Chemistry, and General Chemistry. I really enjoyed helping students master subjects they had been struggling in and build their self-confidence. I pride myself on teaching with passion, because I feel that a passionate teacher keeps students interested in a subject and often build passion in it themselves. I enjoy building strong personal relationships with my students, and I am a great communicator. I believe that both of these qualities make me a solid tutor. I keep students engaged and provide a positive environment during my lessons to help my students grow and succeed. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, my two dogs, and my friends. I also like watching virtually any sport and playing golf.
